OFF LABEL DRUG USE
in palliative medicine

A worldwide project to collect and structure information, generate knowledge, transfer it, and make it available for application!

Furthermore, the project aims to strengthen international cooperation in palliative medicine and the principle of individualized therapy options for palliative patients, as well as to increase safety in application.

1

Cooperation

The core idea of the project is a shared database with appropriate filters and linguistically adapted input masks for integrating verified, qualified information.
The well-thought-out structure of relational databases for category formation prepares for a meaningful transfer and retrieval.

2

Security

The participation of national organizations and the corresponding granting of rights ensures the quality and reliability of the database platform.
Ongoing joint monitoring and further development through consensus of all parties are crucial in the process.

3

To use

The off-label use of medications is often subject to conflicting expectations from various interest groups.
The project makes it easier to access reliable, specific information about past applications and to use this information for one's own decisions and developments.

Database for off-label-drug-use in palliative medicine

It is difficult to obtain reliable, specific information about off-label uses that have already taken place. Literature searches are time-consuming and often provide only incomplete information on patients, indications, dose, repetitions, application, effects and side effects, etc.

Users are asked to contribute their experiences to the database and can also query the experiences of other users.
Every entry is useful. The more comprehensive and detailed, the more helpful.
